Today we started early and went to the Arc De Triumph
it was very cool we were able to go to the top and see the whole city. It was
275 steps up and 275 steps down, after 2 days of walking before that our legs
were shot, our knees were wobbling all over the place.

Afterwards we went to
the Pompidou museum they had very abstract art that was actually pretty funny…
I am not sure I was supposed to laugh at the art, but then again they shouldn’t
have made such funny/weird pieces of art.

Next on the list was Notre Dame, for the second
time, this time we were able to go inside it was so beautiful! I cannot explain
with words or pictures the amount of beauty that the church had. It's one of
the places we visited the most. When we went inside there was an area to do a
confessional but it was only in French and Italian other wise I would have done
it, instead I sat in the church and said a long prayer. Although I have prayed
a million times before, this same prayer, it felt special to say it there. I
felt like if I was in Notre Dame I couldn’t just be a tourist I had to experience it.

Then we went to Saint Chappell again but the
line was so long, and not moving, it wasn't worth it. Instead we got a
delicious dinner for 5euro on the side of the street. Those are the best meals
so far. We ate in an area in front of Notre Dame it was really cool, but some
silly, insane people kept feeding the birds and there were swarms of them
coming from everywhere it made me very uncomfortable—needless to say, dinner
ended quickly.
After we went to Musee de l’Orangerie, I am not
sure what that would translate to. It had Van Gough and Cezanne and the Water
Lillie's paintings in it. It might have been my favorite museum because it was
small but had very cool art that I knew.
When we were done there we searched for over 30
minutes for a bottle of wine to drink in the Luxembourg garden, you would think
a single bottle of wine in Paris would be easy to find, but no. Once we found
it we bought two bottles and finished them there :) the Luxembourg gardens were
really cool, tons of people sat out on a patch of grass in front of the senate
building and had a few casual drinks, just like us. It was nice that we went,
one day when we were sitting in the Tulliers Gardens, we needed a corkscrew,
and we got on from a kid who was just ending his studies in France, he said Luxembourg
gardens were a must. If we never met him, we would have never gone.

It was a
busy but very productive day, tomorrow we go to Aix-en-Provence and move into
our apartment ... For me, I am nervous, It is so crazy and moving there really
sets in stone that I am studying here for a long time and not just short and
sweet vacation. More to come when we are settled in. Paris was just the start of
SO many fun adventures, I can not wait to get to Aix.
